The Elder Scrolls Online is coming out soon, and one of its main draws is its freedom of choice. Players won’t be bound to the classic cookie cutter molds that they’ve been made accustomed to in past MMORPG franchises. With that in mind, we know that leveling is going to be a very experimental process for everyone, and nothing is yet set in stone. This can be an intimidating fact for the power leveler who just wants to get to the end game content and maximize their pvp ability as soon as possible. There will be a lot of competition out there, racing just as hard to get to level 50, so how does one make their way in a game that doesn’t have any set rules in place yet? Luckily, the beta period has offered great insights to the way each class is played, so let’s take a look at some basic tips and strategies a player can utilize when playing the sorcerer class.

It is true that any of the four classes in the game will be able to use any weapon and any armor they like in a way that offers wonderfully unique styles of play, however the sorcerer class is reminiscent of past MMORPG caster classes which emphasized maintaining a glass cannon role, and it’s the way many players will utilize the sorcerer once the game is finally released. It’s easy to see why, as the light armor skill tree will offer numerous perks to a player’s magicka use even at the cost of heavier armor that mitigates more damage, so it’s easy to see that light armor will be the first choice for many fledgling sorcerers. As far as weapons are concerned, sorcerers have many ranged spells they can learn from any of their three class skill trees, and if they’re using cloth armor it’ll be good to have quite a bit of space between them and their enemies, so a nice ranged weapon would be one of the most helpful to choose.

The only two ranged weapons to choose from are either the destruction staff or the bow. The bow is certainly not a bad choice, as it allows for the distance a sorcerer will want, but the destruction staff offers that and much more. Sorcerers ought to choose the destruction staff when first starting, as its first skill choice, DestructiveTouch, will give players the ability to not just pick off enemies from a distance but also to stun them once they do get too close. As far as the actual class skill tree to utilize, all three are very powerful in their own right, however Dark Magic will offer the sorcerer some added utility capabilities for additional survivability that the other trees don’t have, so it’d be a great choice for the solo power leveler but might not good for making gold.

Keep in mind that the Elder Scrolls Online will be breaking many molds once it’s released on April 4th, 2014, so there will be many different ways that people will play that are just as effective as any others. Use the above tips to help get started, but don’t be afraid to switch things up to suit a different play style. Deviating from the norm is, after all, one of the strong points of the game.

After spending several hours with The Elder Scrolls Online I have seen a few of the spells that can be used by the different classes. If you have played another game in the Elder Scrolls series then you will have a head start understanding the mechanics of spells in The Elder Scrolls Online.

Every spell in the game costs a certain amount of magicka, and your character’s magicka pool is governed by how many points are placed into it after each time you level. At any given time you may only hot key five spells to your skill bar. To make up for the limited spell number, though, The Elder Scrolls Online has implemented a spell-morphing mechanic. Once you are a high enough level you can customize the effect individual spells have by adding different features. Features include a stun, damage over time, or knock back, although there have been hints that some effects will be limited to specific skill trees.

So, which classes have spells? In every class in the Elder Scrolls Online has access to eighteen different spells.

Each class has three skill trees characters can mix and match. Within each skill tree players can unlock and use five active spells, four passive abilities, and one ultimate spell. The five active spells and ultimate spell, which is a capstone ability that is unlocked once a sufficient number of points are spent in the skill tree, are abilities you use in combat, while the passives are enhancements to your character’s abilities.

The spells and abilities in a particular skill tree share a visual theme. The Templar’s skill trees use a lot of holy light effects, while the Dragonknight’s Ardent Flame skill tree uses fire-based attacks. The Sorcerer’s Storm Calling skill tree focuses on lightning and shock abilities. Meanwhile, the Shadow skill tree for the Nightblade has a lot of terror-inducing and mist visual effects that culminate in sneak attacks and crowd control. Each theme is visually satisfying, and no spell is useless. It is very difficult to choose one over the other.

I think the most skilled players will find ways to use their spells in tandem. For instance, one of the Sorcerer’s skill trees, Dark Magic, which focuses on crowd control, compliments the Templar class’ Restoring Light skill tree, which can be used to heal. With the ability to morph spells in mind, individual spells take on an even greater level of utility. It seems like the possibilities in The Elder Scrolls online could be endless, especially when each player can tailor their spells specifically to how they wish to play.

BethesdaSoftworks has just released a new epic trailer for the Elder Scrolls Online  called “The Elder Scrolls Online – The Alliances Cinematic Trailer”. Aparting of the stunning graphic and non-stopping action combat, the trailer showcase the pvp alliance war and a beginning of forming an alliance, which is one of the most interesting point of the game.

The trailer also gives a clue at least 3 classes that should be included in the Elder Scrolls Online: Dragon Knight, Templar(?), and Sorcerer. Although an elf woman sorcerer has the least amount of time to show her skills, it catches my eyes the most. Also, sorcerer is the only class in the video expressing one of its signature skill “Storm Calling”. After activating it, a line of  green lightning suddenly come out from her hand and kill a victim almost instantly.

The Elder Scrolls trailer receives a very high attention from gamers as the numbers of view in YouTube rapidly increase to more than 4 million views and the figure seems to be rising unstoppably.

ESO sorcerer

Hi All!. I am very proudly to present you my first game fansite, esosorcerer.com! I was thinking for a long time to do this kind of stuff since I was studying. I have been addicted to game since my mom bought me a family game console when I was 7 years old. I started to create a fansite seriously when I first heard about the release of Elder Scrolls Online. Frankly, I never played this game series before.

The very first time I heard of it was from the biggest game joke ever from Skyrim. I believed that all of you at least must have heard it once. “I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.” This joke was very caught my attention and I started to take a look into the Elder Scrolls seriously since then.

Main purpose of esosorcerer.com is to give you the most advanced and in-depth information about the Elder Scrolls Online Sorcerer. News, guides, levelling tips, builds, skills, and so on are what I am willing to cover them all in the site. I hope that you will enjoy reading articles that I am going to post and leave your comments.

Although the official site do not release any data related to classes yet, it is highly possible that “sorcerer” will be one of the available classes offered in the game.
