ESO Sorcerer

ESO Sorcerer Skill Lines Guide

Update: This article contains only a brief introduction. If you want something more detailed and in-depth, this book is for you. If you want to level up the Sorcerer as fast as possible with the best build, I recommend the first thing to do is head over and get yourself a copy. Not only does it have a much more detailed and up-to-date strategies on the Sorcerer, but an amazing leveling guide as well (see my review). I could have saved myself a lot of trial and error with this.

The sorcerer class will have players taking the role of spell caster and summoner. Players will have the ability to personally wreak destruction with powerful direct damage attacks, to change the tides of battle with varied crowd control spells, or to summon powerful Daedric companions to do their bidding for them. While each individual tree has their own strengths and weaknesses, it’s important to remember that classes in The Elder Scrolls Online will be able to mix and match skills from different trees(See more information in elderscrollsonlineclasses.org). You won’t be forced to choose just one.

sorcerer storm calling

Storm calling will be the first choice for sorcerers wanting to dish out as much damage as they can. The passive skills in the storm calling tree are fairly straight forward, such as increased regeneration, a flat increase of lightning damage, a reduction of cost for some spells, and the chance to disintegrate low health targets. The active skill “Bolt Escape” will allow sorcerers to teleport in a line and stun enemies. “Lightning Form” will surround the sorcerer in electric bolts, increasing damage reduction for a short time. The other damage dealing active spells, “Mage’s Fury,” “Lightning Splash,” “Surge,” and the ultimate “Overload,” will be the player’s go to damage dealing abilities.

Dark magic is the second skill tree choice for sorcerers, and one that focuses on crowd control and utility. The passive skill “Blood Magic” heals you whenever you hit an enemy with one of your dark magic skills. When you’re hitting an enemy affected by dark magic, “Exploitation” will guarantee you an increase critical strike chance against them. The active skills of this tree are an array of useful crowd control abilities that will have your enemies knocked backwards, disoriented, immobilized, or snared. The ultimate skill for eso sorcerer, “Negate Magic,” is very powerful. It will dispel any magic effects in a target area, as well as damage and silence any enemies that are spell casting.

Daedric summoning is the third skill line for a sorcerer, and, you guessed right, it deals with summoning Daedra. Summoned Daedra, aside from fighting for you, will each either give you a unique buff, or debuff your enemy. The passive skills in Daedric summoning will reduce the cost of your summoning spells, or bolster your Daedric companions.

Don’t forget, the beauty of TESO is in the game’s dedication toward allowing the player to play how they’d like. Each of these three skill trees for the sorcerer are powerful in their own ways, you can always mix and match to allow for a vigorous, hybrid play style.
